Craig attended shoeing school at Minnesota school of Horseshoeing in 1984. In 1992, he made the American Farrier's Team for the first time and followed by making the team the next 9 years – ten years consecutively. In 1999, he won the World Championship title as decided by the Calgary Stampede. In 2000, he was reserve World Champion. Craig has won the World Champion Draft shoeing with numerous partners four times. He has won the national 2 man draft shoe making 7 times with numerous partners, and been champion four times at the American Farrier’s Association National Convention. Craig has won every class that the AFA Convention has or had to offer. In 2002, he changed arenas and ran for President of the American Farrier's Association in Lexington, KY and won using teamwork skills learned from competing in horseshoeing. Under his leadership, the association grew from 2,200 members to 3,500 members in just four years. Membership retention was at an all time high. This next endeavor with World Championship Blacksmiths will be the best ever.
